Which one sound sounds more natural in speaking?

"I’ve left my laptop for repair, so I can’t do anything right now." "My laptop is being repaired, so I can’t do anything right now." If there is a more natural way to say this, let me know!

What does "plop" mean?

"She plops her bag into the overhead bin..." This is only part of the context but what does "plop" mean? I looked it up in the dictionary but still not sure what it means.

Hi, I'm having a moment where I don't know how to translate "andamio" from Spanish. Translators are telling me "platform" is ok and I think I've heard it referred to as such, but I'm pretty sure this could be another word as well I'm referring to this thing

Can you actually learn a language using a language learning app like Duolingo?

I see a lot of language learning apps, and I am not sure if they are actually useful or not. Can they be used as the main tool to learn?

What do the words in yellow mean? I thought ‘batter’ was like a pummel or strike. Should it be butter? Might sound silly but that’s what I thought

Meaning: Not my problem A perennial favourite among learners of Polish, this phrase reached an even wider audience after appearing in the Netflix series Orange Is the New Black.
