This is definitely not a good way to learn English, I seriously despise these kinds of things.

1 spreads, 2 suggests, 3 arises, 4 rises, 5 slip, 6 chatter, 7 howls, 8 pressure

Like another commenter, I'm only able to get standard-slip by process of elimination. I'm not sure what it's supposed to mean.

Not Standard, Standards.

On an unrelated note, I hate how each vertical distance between the words is different.

The question of **disease arises** from time to time in the literature.
In any thorough investigation, the best **evidence rises** to the top.
When you work hard, it seems like **opportunity spreads** all around you.
The presence of **smoke suggests** a fire.
At sea level, the **standard pressure** is one atmosphere.
Grandma’s **teeth slip** out of her mouth from time to time.
When choosing roof tiles, remember that **wind chatter** can be a problem with certain types in certain configurations.
A successful politician must be able to **withstand howls** of derision if he hopes to lead well.
(I am of course kidding. For any English learners here, none of these is correct, at least in the spirit of the quiz.)

You mean, “Would you like to try [and do my homework for me]?”

Ngl, disease arises sounds like an absolute banger of a band name

I was only able to get the standard one by process of elimination. I think it's usually "slipping standards" plural.
